Making Swords

I guess this would be called swordsmith or the forging of the blade. Something inside me is speaking about the craft of forging steel... Anyone have any interest/ insight/ experience in actually making one's own sword?

I know its a long intricate process that requires a high level of skill and training, i guess the purpose of this post is to find anyone else who is into or knows about making swords from scratch...

    Start by learning your different grades of steel and carbon content. Learn all the ingreadients in steel and all their properties before you start.
